As part of their new Summer 2009 Collection, XLarge Japan has gotten together with G-Shock to collaborate on teh DW-5600. The watch comes in black, features a striped design on the dial and has “XLarge” and “1991″ printed on the straps. Look out for a release of the XLarge x G-Shock DW-5600 watch in the near future.
SNEAKER TIME!

Here we feature a preview of a pair of Nike Zoom Classic High SB’s that are slated to release sometime in next few months. They sport a high top design, along with a black upper constructed from suede. The white accents include the white sole, shoe laces, and Nike Swoosh. Stay tuned in for more updates, and you can expect detailed pictures as their release date approaches.
SNEAKER TIME!

Having initiated a few different Reebok collaborations awhile back, the Commonwealth crew are at it again with an upcoming collection of Pump Omni Lites. The story-less shoes are essentially just some interesting two-tone colorways with a nice return of seafoam green which was previously seen on a previous release. 300 pairs will drop in June or so. Seen in the latest Issue 15 of Sneaker Freaker.

Speaking of Watches...

Japanese brand, swagger, hit us with a look into a new timepiece from their Spring/Summer collection. The watch boasts a clean look, featured in a tonal black colorway with custom swagger dials and text. Retailing for ¥27,090 (Approx. $274), the Def Wrist Watch is now available through Choiceisyours.
SNEAKER TIME!

The Nike Big Nike Hi certainly celebrates a comeback this year, with numerous colorways already having released and more to come later this year. Scheduled for November 2009 is this new brown/plaid version of the Big Nike Hi.
“The toe cap is full grain brown leather which runs up the lacing holes. The mid panel of the upper is brown textured nubuck, while the heel is made of smooth black suede. he big Nike logo on the back heel is red with a yellow outline. These retros feature a black midsole with yellow stitching and a brown outsole. The ankle collar is red, matching the textured patent leather swoosh. Most importantly, near the ankle collar is the plaid pattern, making this a true lifestyle colorway.” ViaFootlockerunlocked.
Quiksilver x Takashi Kumagai Spring/Summer 2009 Capsule Collection

Quiksilver has for the first time invited a creator to produce a collaborative capsule collection. They chose influential Japanese designer Takashi Kumagai, who is best known for his work for Porter. For Quiksilver the designer put together an interesting collection, which is both modern and colorful, but also references classic American workwear. The line is inspired by the 70s, 80s and of course surfwear. Colorful M-65 jackets, woven shirts, shorts and denim workwear pieces come together in this collaborative capsule collection. We like a lot the colorful pieces and the workwear pieces, but are less impressed with the shirts of the collection. Also the mix of different styles seems a little strange, at least to us.
